"My first day when I got there, she told me to sit down" on the floor, Chung said. "She told me to get up. I know darn well I cannot get up."
With Newhouse's coaching, Chung managed to find her two feet an hour later. It was a lesson Chung probably never thought she needed to learn after infancy, but it's a lesson she'll never forget.
Speaking of athletics, Jayme Newhouse is certifiably fit, as are all of her staff at Stott Pilates on Maluniu Avenue. The Kailua High graduate (1977) recently earned her certification as an official Pilates trainer in Toronto.

Jayme Newhouse, Hawai‘i’s only certified Stott Pilates instructor, trainer and owner of Pilates Training Center Hawai‘i located in Kailua on O‘ahu, will teach five different Stott Pilates Mat and Equipment courses at the Pilates Maui Training Center, located in the Kïhei Commercial Plaza at 310 Ohukai St., Ste. 317 in North Kīhei.
Pam and Dennis Shewell have lots of things in common. The Kailua couple share an affinity for Corvettes and cocker spaniels, and both are looking forward to celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this month. The Shewells also are both breast cancer survivors.
